Better Bromley

The Better Bromley team is committed to making Bromley Town a safer, cleaner, greener, and more vibrant place for residents to live.
The Better Bromley team is committed to making Bromley Town a safer, cleaner, greener, and more vibrant place for residents to live.
We believe in the power of our local community and the people who are part of the community.
We're not about distant national politics; we're about localism and taking action to create a better place to live.
We're an evidence-led group of local people who want better outcomes for our community.
Give us your support to help us make a difference.
Redefining local politics
Better Bromley does not have a national political party as a master. Our aims and objectives are community-led, and our candidates and core team are independently-minded and engaged in "grassroots" bottom-up community-led initiatives. We view this as a refreshing alternative to top-down party structures.
Our historical and contemporary analyses have shown us that local politicians have always relied heavily on local networks and relationships, albeit often having to compromise and yield to party ideology rather than the intrinsic needs of the community.
Our mantra is "Community first and foremost"
What We Stand for
We generate actions - not empty words:
Bringing people together to clean up our local high streets and green spaces. We have campaigned and lobbied for improvements to Herons Lake, Church House Gardens. Funding was secured to augment the silt into an island to make the lake more drought resilient. We are supporting the Friends in their bid for more funding.
Being a strong voice for local residents at council meetings. We have consistently lobbied the council for more robust enforcement of illegal HMO's in the borough.
Improve essential services that families rely on.
Working closely with the Police and LBB to create Safer Streets, especially for women & girls. In 2019, we campaigned for more Police in Bromley Town. Police Officer numbers were increased from 11 to 21, including a dedicated Inspector.
Supporting local businesses to create jobs and opportunities. We are fervent advocates of "Karma Capitalism". This will be a new and exciting enterprise for us - to develop in 2026.
Investing in local youth; creating youth hubs. Again, this is a new and exciting social enterprise for 2026.
Vote BETTER BROMLEY on May 7th, for real local action and sustainable outcomes.
